A note about tradition and rigor of study:
I thoroughly believe in this system and am profoundly humbled by the nuance and complexity that can be revealed by honoring the time-honored and victorious scriptures from which this knowledge comes forth as a living tradition. I am honored and humbled to be a part of the lineage of Shri Achyutananda Das of Odisha. This 16th-century poet, seer, author, and prolific astrologer was schooled in the traditional Vedic texts from a young age. This information has been passed down through the Rath family, who have kept the thread of astrological knowledge alive despite enormous historical challenges. Through this connection to a genuine root, I found my teacher Freedom Cole (one of Sanjay Rath’s primary students). I have been studying with Freedom closely for five consecutive years.

I am committed to the lifestyle of a spiritually oriented practitioner, contemplating and introspecting upon the universality found within this system as a tool to connect with others in the current situation and query.
